Fleet Shop Automotive Technician Mechanic- North Platte, NE

Contractor Services, Inc. (CSI) is a traffic control company based in North Platte, Nebraska. Our service area includes central Nebraska to the panhandle and eastern Colorado.

CSI provides traffic control services, roadway and airport pavement marking, pavement marking removals, temporary barrier rail, temporary signals, message boards and other smart zone equipment. CSI is a fast-growing company looking for employees that are ready to grow with us.

Safety is the most important part of a construction project. CSI employees will help create a safe work zone by installing traffic control devices on roadway construction projects.

We need a Automotive Technician in our North Platte, NE fleet shop.

Job Description:

Our busy fleet shop is looking for a auto technician to meet our demand. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing vehicles within the fleet. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, hands-on mechanical experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in the shop environment. You will perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and inspections. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life and much more.

Abilities/Skills:

  • Follow the Safety handbook.
  • Must be at least 22 years of age with a valid driver's license.
  • Have basic tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Conduct yourself as a professional with co-workers and the public.
  • Report to work at the designated start time.
  • Work overtime.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Technical understanding
  • Attention to detail
  • Dependability
  • Power tools experience
  • Verbal communication and documentation skills
  • ASE Certifications a PLUS

This is a position that requires safety to be put first, PPE (hard hat, safety vest, eye protection, gloves) is required in designated areas and successful applicants will need to provide proper footwear and attire
